General information about image sales and usage rights

Photographers very rarely sell the right to an image, but a right of use or license. The right of use can be very limited or cover use in several contexts. This is something that is agreed when images are sold, and the price will reflect how extensively the image will be used. As well as whether there will be a need for exclusivity.
Through Roksvåg Media, the following is assumed:
Crediting: Images must be credited upon publication.
Payment: The agreed fee must be paid in order for the right of use or license to apply.
Usage agreement: Images are not to be published or redistributed beyond the current agreement.
Delivery: The image files should be delivered from the photographer.
It is not permitted to scan, photograph, take screenshots or in any other way reproduce Roksvåg Media's images for any purpose. This will degrade the quality and be a violation of copyright. It is also not permitted to reuse Roksvåg Media's images taken from open websites. As mentioned in the last point above, images must be delivered directly from the photographer to the customer. This also applies to use on social media.

If you would like to use images from this website for social media such as Facebook, Instagram or purchase an image physically, please contact Bjørn-Christian Roksvåg directly via contact form, email or on Instagram.
Image credit
When it comes to image credit, it is not only good practice to credit the author of the photographs. This is also a prerequisite for obtaining permission to use Roksvåg Media's images.
It is assumed that images are credited legibly with "Photo: Bjørn-Christian Roksvåg" when published. In addition, my user must be tagged in both image and text when used on social media.
How to credit can vary from situation to situation. The main rule is that the credit should be on or near the image. If you are unsure, please contact Bjørn-Christian Roksvåg via the contact form, email or Instagram.
Brudd på opphavsrett
All bruk av bilder fra Roksvåg Media uten avtale eller korrekt kreditering vil bli ansett som brudd på opphavsretten. Dette inkluderer, men er ikke begrenset til:
Skanning, avfotografering, skjermbilder eller annen reproduksjon.
Bruk av bilder fra nettsider uten godkjenning.
Ved brudd på opphavsretten vil det bli sendt en faktura tilsvarende lisensavgiften for uautorisert bruk, samt eventuelle tilleggskostnader. Ta direkte kontakt for å sikre at all bruk av bilder skjer i henhold til avtale.
